Philadelphia Phillies fan hospitalized by flying hot dog launched by Phanatic
It was a flying frankfurter and never a foul ball that made a baseball fan using a black eye in Philadelphia.
Kathy McVay says she what food was in Monday night’s Phillies game once the team’s mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, released his waitress or launcher. McVay was sitting near home plate and, she says, unexpectedly a warm dog enclosed in duct tape struck her with a backlash.
McVay says she is encountering a shoulder injury, so she was not able to swat the new dog away.
She left the video game to obtain looked over in the hospital and was informed you have a tiny hematoma.
She told WPVI-TV she doesn’t plan court action.
The Phillies apologized to McVay and also the team has offered her tickets for the game.
